We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at General Dynamics Ordnance & Tactical Systems. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for operating a variety of machines to handle repairs and produce unique parts for our production line.
Key Responsibilities- Operate machines in the Machine Shop to repair and produce parts
- Read blueprints and written instructions to determine the proper amount of raw product needed
- Complete tasks within a satisfactory time to ensure quality work
- Work with and follow Work Instructions, PCR's, Basic Rules of Manufacturing, and other work-related policies
- Demonstrate common safety practices and follow the 5 S's to maintain a clean and organized work area
- Machining degree from a college or technical school, or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to operate machinery to machine parts on a daily basis
- Ability to read blueprints and work instructions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours and off shift if necessary
