Job Summary

Georgia Pines Community Service Board is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team in South Georgia. As a key member of our Outpatient Mental Health program, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a broad range of paraprofessional social services to patients, including conducting intakes, participating in treatment team planning, and performing crisis intervention.
  • Assist patients and their families in dealing with personal and social problems, and provide supportive counseling as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison for social services and perform case management duties.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED and two years' experience in a social services related position, or Bachelor's degree in a social services related field, or one year at the lower level or position equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
