Wellness Nurse

Maplewood Senior is seeking a skilled LPN/RN Wellness Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our Resident Services Department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our residents.
Job Summary:The LPN/RN Wellness Nurse is responsible for assisting the Resident Services Director in the implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services at our Community. This includes supervising Resident Services Department associates, assisting with medication programs, and maintaining positive relations with residents, families, and physicians.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and mentor Resident Services Department associates to ensure exceptional care and service.
- Assist with medication programs and support residents with self-administration of medication.
- Maintain open and effective communication with residents, families, and physicians to ensure their needs are met.
- Report any significant incidents or changes in resident needs to the Executive Director/Resident Services Director.
- Support the completion of resident assessments and service plans to ensure individualized care.
- Assist with clinical assessments and recertifications as required by ALSA.
- Participate in the training and orientation of new associates to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Attend and participate in scheduled in-service programs, training programs, and associate meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices.
- Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice in the appropriate state(s).
- Basic first aid and CPR certification.
- Two years of full-time or full-time equivalent clinical experience.
- Experience in assisted living or long-term care settings preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, and peers.
