Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. As a key member of our Nuclear Medicine Division, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our service.
Responsibilities- Perform initial consultations and independent on-treatment visits with patients
- Provide patient education on radiopharmaceutical therapies and manage on-treatment and post-treatment side effects
- Collaborate with Nuclear Medicine technologists, nursing staff, and Oncology teams to coordinate patient care
- Assist with medical decision-making for diagnostic nuclear medicine patients and draft preliminary reports under attending physician supervision
- Participate in patient review conferences, tumor boards, and other clinical team meetings
- Support investigational diagnostic and therapy radiopharmaceutical research and share call responsibilities with attending physicians
- Masters Degree in nursing with clinical specialization required
- Two years' work experience as an RN required
- Currently licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- DEA licensure required
