Job Summary

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery is seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our team. As a Host/Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing the flow of business in the dining room, and ensuring a positive experience for our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Host Activities and Guest Interaction: Greet guests, answer questions, and provide information about our menu and services.
  • Reports to Work: Arrive on time, well-groomed, and in clean and proper uniform.
  • Opens the Door: Welcome guests as they enter and leave the building.
  • Uses Greeting, Seating, and Waiting List Procedures: Seats guests in a friendly and timely manner, either in person or on the telephone.
  • Anticipates, Identifies, and Corrects System Breakdowns: Ensures maximum guest satisfaction by identifying and correcting any issues that may arise.
  • Completes Wait Sheets: Accurately records guest information and wait times.
  • Greet and Seat: Welcome new guests as they arrive and show them to their seats.
  • Take Cash: Check out guests at the register, ask for feedback, and thank them for their business.
  • Move Through the Dining Room: Regularly check on guests to ensure they have everything they need.
  • Sell Bakery: Offer suggestions for take-out bakery items and efficiently package to-go orders.
  • Clean: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the cashier area, bakery cases, and guest restrooms.
  • Assist Crew Members: Process To-Go orders, assist servers with pre-bussing procedures, and perform side work during downtime.
Requirements
  • Basic skills such as sanitation, safety, and customer service can be taught through in-house training.
  • None required.
