Tackle Department Manager

The Tackle Department Manager at Turner's Outdoorsman is a key role that requires a strong leader to manage the daily operations of the tackle department. This individual will be responsible for achieving sales goals, providing excellent customer service, and promoting Turner's Outdoorsman products and events.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the daily operations of the tackle department, including receiving stock and displaying merchandise.
- Conduct sales and cashier training to ensure a high level of customer service.
- Provide excellent customer service and salesmanship to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
- Effectively advertise and promote Turner's Outdoorsman products and events.
- Ensure customers enjoy a full-service and high-value shopping experience.
- Source, place, and follow up on orders to meet customer needs.
- Responsible for audit records accuracy and accurately receiving merchandise.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including covering employee breaks and/or lunches in other departments as needed.
- High school graduate (or GED) required, college graduate or some college preferred.
- Fluent in English.
- At least 2 years of prior retail and sales experience in a lead position.
- Knowledge about hunting, fishing/tackle, and shooting sports.
- Legally eligible to work in a firearms environment.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Customer service experience.
- Responsible for loading/unloading trucks, lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Must be able to use both hands when handling a firearm.
- Must be able to use a computer proficiently and grasp instruction to new software programs.
- Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shift.
- Occasional travel is required (approximately 20% of the time) to participate in events, training seminars, corporate meetings, and opening new store locations as needed.
- At least 45 hours per week are required, with varied hours and occasional overtime.
- Requests for time off may or may not be granted during black-out periods.
