About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team at US Foods, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues with diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Document all repair orders and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure seamless operations and efficient use of resources.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve maintenance processes.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a heavy duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic, or a combination of both.
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and drivers.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • CDL A and DOT certification preferred.
