About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Senior Cardiovascular Care Nurse Specialist. This is a dynamic opportunity for a skilled and dedicated professional to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiac catheterization laboratory and electrophysiology laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in cardiac catheterization procedures, including independently assisting invasive cardiologists and electrophysiologists with complex cases.
  • Competently perform emergency procedures associated with catheterization, utilizing advanced skills and knowledge to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Follow established standards and practices under the direction of credentialed physicians, demonstrating expertise in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cardiac Cath Lab) and Electrophysiology Laboratory (EP Lab) procedures and equipment.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor for less-experienced nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality patient care.
  • Provide patient-centered care through evidence-based nursing practices, adhering to the American Nurses Association Standards of Practice and UTMB's three domains for competency and advancement.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A current license or valid permit to practice in Texas, with a minimum of two years of clinical RN experience in critical care and/or Cath/EP experience.
  • Intermediate care experience or equivalent experience in related fields is highly desirable.
  • Possession of cardiovascular certification, such as CVRN II or higher, CCRN, RCIS, or RCES, is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
