Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Benefits Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing a defined book of business, consisting of Regional Accounts with 500-4,999 lives. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with clients and brokers, and driving business growth through strategic planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Regional Account Executive and Underwriting on plan design and rate negotiations for Add Issue business in Group Benefits.
  • Support pre-sale / finalist activities in conjunction with internal business partners, including occasional travel to participate in finalist meetings.
  • Implement and manage Group Benefits plans, ensuring seamless execution and effective communication with clients and brokers.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive book of business strategy, aligned with organizational initiatives, profitability, and persistency targets.
  • Drive the renewal process, collaborating with Regional Account Executive and Underwriting to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer concerns, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with internal business partners to address customer needs and develop solutions that meet their evolving requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance customer experience and drive business growth.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of Disability and Life Group Benefits experience, with a focus on account management.
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Group Life & Health license, with ongoing Continuing Education requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to groups of varying sizes.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to build rapport and develop/maintain strong relationships with internal/external partners.
What We Offer
