Key Responsibilities- Respond to and resolve system issues involving conveyors, powered industrial equipment, and building automation systems.
- Assist with infrastructure upgrades and modifications to DC assets.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system components.
- Work independently on projects and assignments, and collaborate with contractors, service providers, and other maintenance personnel.
- Operate material handling and mobile equipment within the Distribution Center.
- Perform work requests and projects as assigned, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of building and equipment maintenance experience, with 2 years of experience maintaining Dematic or similar conveyor systems.
- Computer literacy, specifically using MS Outlook and other Microsoft products.
- Knowledge and application of safe work practices, LOTO standards, and NFPA70 E Arc Flash.
- Demonstrated ability to follow directions, attention to detail, and high level of record keeping accuracy.
- Skilled at using electrical test equipment, hand tools, power tools, calipers, gauges, etc.
- Experienced with reading and interpreting MEP drawings and schematics.
- High level of knowledge and understanding of codes such as the NEC, BOCA, and/or UBC, MSDS, and OSHA.
- Possess strong technical skills to become a subject matter expert for conveyors, crossbelt systems, and Dematic Multi-Shuttle Systems.
- Design, implement, and document PLC programming changes to automated equipment.
- Strong understanding of power distribution, power generation, and control circuits.
- Troubleshoot and implement changes to I/O device networks.
- Experience with thermal imaging equipment to detect early failure of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Experienced with AC/DC drives, setup, programming, and faults.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and moving equipment. The successful candidate must be able to tolerate working in uncomfortable positions at elevated heights and be able to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
