Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Hospital Sisters Health System. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with medical procedures.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and communicating with patients and healthcare providers.
- Assist with laboratory functions, including collecting and processing specimens, and performing basic laboratory tests.
- Work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operations.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- 1 or more years of Medical Assistant experience may be considered in lieu of completion of program per department discretion.
- Medical Assistant (MA) Certification/Registration required or must be obtained within 60 days of start date from one of the following credentialing organizations:
- Certified MA from American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Registered MA from American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) from National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- Certified Clinical MA (CCMA) from National Healthcare Association (NHA)
- Registered MA from American Allied Health (AAH)
- Nationally Registered CMA (NRCMA) from National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
- Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) or Medical Assistant Certification (MAC) from American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
- Podiatric MA Certified (PMAC) from American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA)
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) from International Joint Commission on Allied Personnel in Ophthalmology (IJCAHPO)
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) is required within 60 days of hire.
