Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Driver's License Specialist to join our team at the Ada County Sheriff's Office in Boise, ID. This is a full-time position with benefits, offering a competitive salary of $18.75 per hour.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing applications, administering and grading exams, issuing driver's licenses and identification cards, and taking photos for driver's licenses and special identification cards. They will work closely with the public, other agencies, and public officials to ensure accurate and efficient services.

Responsibilities
  • Process driver's license and identification card applications.
  • Administer and grade exams for driver's licenses and endorsements.
  • Take photographs of driver's license applicants.
  • Collect fees and balance daily fee receipts.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Idaho driver's license preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic office terminology and procedures.
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute and use correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Work Environment

This position requires working in an office environment with frequent use of computer keyboard/mouse, telephone, cash register, vision test equipment, cameras, scanners, and printer. The employee may need to lift up to 35 lbs. and have sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes to function in a general office environment.
