About the Role

Keller Electrical, a leading provider of industrial electrical services, equipment, components, and supplies, is seeking a highly skilled Machine Shop Manager to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Machining Services Department as a Division Leader with P&L accountability.
  • Coordinate and monitor daily manpower and equipment needs, and workload efficiencies of machining teams.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive profitability and improve productivity.
  • Interface with customers to review projects and capabilities.
  • Review fabrication drawings, estimate budgets, and develop scope of work and contractual documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on department productivity and backlog.
  • Drive high-quality machining services and repairs that meet or exceed original equipment specifications.
  • Provide leadership and employee development opportunities.
  • Participate in annual performance evaluations and performance improvement plans.
  • Coordinate daily/weekly production and toolbox meetings.
  • Prioritize incoming requests and follow up as needed.
  • Provide technical information to vendors and communicate delivery and status of orders to customers.
Requirements

  • Solid communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills in building relationships.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a constructive and timely manner.

  • Ability to read and interpret dimensional drawings and fabricate as applicable.
  • Minimum 10 years of machining experience demonstrated in the industrial market.
  • Degree in mechanical engineering or engineering technology or job-related experience.
