Senior Financial Controller

The Business Unit Control team plays a crucial role in monitoring and evaluating Profit & Loss, risk management, pricing strategies, and internal financing mechanisms.

This position is primarily dedicated to overseeing daily controls within our global product control framework, which includes analysis of estimated versus actual P&L and NAV reporting, reconciliation, and ongoing management reporting. The ideal candidate will not only implement established controls but will also pinpoint gaps and opportunities for enhancement and optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • NAV Reporting - Manage daily workflows and reporting associated with the organization’s NAV, encompassing revenue, expenses, returns, and more.
  • Estimate vs. Actual Break Investigation - Conduct reviews and investigations of T0 versus T1 discrepancies related to both revenue and non-revenue items through comprehensive data analysis, including detailed commentary.
  • Controls and Monitoring - Provide continuous oversight to identify, highlight, and escalate issues across various processes and workflows.
  • Reporting and Projects - Compile diverse daily and weekly reports for senior management. Contribute to the enhancement of existing tools and ongoing system development and implementation.
Qualifications/Skills Required
  • 7+ years of pertinent experience in fund accounting, financial control, or a combination of both.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership over work.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, particularly with investment professionals and senior management.
  • Demonstrated initiative and strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Experience in senior management reporting.
  • Skills in automation and process improvement; project management experience.
  • Familiarity with Murex, Geneva, or Imagine is advantageous.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented problem solver committed to contributing to the organization’s reputation and success.
  • Proven capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $250,000. The organization offers a comprehensive compensation package that includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a full benefits package.
