Nurse Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our team at Walden Behavioral Care. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a safe and therapeutic environment.
About the Role
This full-time position offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. The salary range is $$76,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience. Available shifts include nights (11:00pm-7:30am) with rotating weekends.
Responsibilities
As a Nurse Care Specialist, your primary duties will include:
• Providing direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments, and documenting resident observations and responses.
• Collaborating with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Participating in community meetings and group therapies, and assessing unit milieu to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Educating residents and family members about their conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
• Assisting with medication administration, documentation, and coordination of care.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
• A graduate degree from an accredited nursing program.
• At least 2 years of prior relevant psychiatric experience, preferably in a behavioral health setting.
• Current Massachusetts RN license and CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks independently.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
