Assistant Mechanic Job Summary

Troon Golf is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Mechanic to join our team. As an Assistant Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our golf course equipment, ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained and our guests have an exceptional experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Maintenance: Overhaul and repair maintenance vehicles, mowing equipment, and other power equipment.
• Lubrication and Servicing: Lubricate and service all equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Inspections and Adjustments: Inspect equipment for operating deficiencies and make routine adjustments where necessary.
• Hydraulic Systems: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of hydraulic systems, repairs, and their components.
• Tire Maintenance: Inspect, change, and repair tires.
• Tool Management: Assist in controlling tool access and use by maintenance staff.
• Cleanliness: Clean working areas after repair work is completed.
• Fabrication and Painting: Assist in fabricating, body repair, and painting.
• Mowing Equipment: Adjust cutting units on mowing equipment.
• Maintenance Support: Assist on maintenance crew and may operate mowing equipment when servicing is complete.
• Training: Assist in training maintenance staff in the proper care and upkeep of golf course equipment.
• Equipment Operation: May be called upon to operate or train to operate various types of maintenance equipment.
• Safety: Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Certificate: Certificate from college or technical school.
• Experience: 2+ years' experience with small engine repairs and maintenance.
• Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license.

Other Qualifications:

• Language Skills: Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
• Attendance: Regular and reliable attendance.
