Job Title: On-Call Regulatory Specialist

ICF International Inc is seeking an On-Call Regulatory Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Regulatory, Policy & Economics (RPE) line of business, you will support the design, implementation, and improvement of federal programs.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and analysis to support federal clients in developing policies and crafting regulations.
  • Draft, edit, and format federal agency rulemaking documents and develop style guides for new agency rulemakings.
  • Support federal agency efforts to transparently manage and analyze public comments received on proposed agency rules.
  • Immerse yourself in varied projects for multiple clients and provide verbal and written progress updates to project staff.
  • Interact with clients to understand and manage expectations and foster long-term relationships.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, plus at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Technical editing experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required per federal contracts.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a moderate-level government security clearance from select government agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security.
  • Strong analytical, writing, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communications skills.
  • Detail-oriented and team-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree (JD, MPP, or equivalent), plus 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Understanding of and experience with the federal rulemaking process.
