Fresenius Medical Center is a leading healthcare provider with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. We are seeking an experienced Advanced Anesthesia Practitioner to join our team in providing exceptional anesthesia services for vascular surgeries.
Job SummaryWe offer a competitive salary of $160-$225 per hour, depending on the successful candidate's qualifications and work location. As an Advanced Anesthesia Practitioner, you will be responsible for performing pre-anesthesia assessments, developing anesthesia care plans, and administering sedation and anesthesia services. You will also collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure seamless patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and evaluations to identify potential risks and develop personalized care plans.
- Review and order laboratory/diagnostic studies as needed, ensuring timely and accurate results.
- Obtain informed consent from patients and their families before proceeding with anesthesia services.
- Select and administer preanesthetic medications or treatments to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Develop and implement comprehensive anesthesia care plans that meet individual patient needs.
- Use equipment, monitors, and supplies necessary for anesthesia services, conducting regular safety checks to prevent errors.
- Administer analgesic and anesthetic agents, adjuvant drugs, fluids, and other necessary medications to maintain patient stability during procedures.
- Document peri-anesthetic care records, including time-based events, medication administration, and patient responses.
- Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
- Current state licensure and certification as a CRNA.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists certification.
- Ability to perform clinically as a nurse anesthetist in a facility setting, using a wide range of equipment to provide safe and effective care.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with clinical staff and other disciplines.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques, ability to maintain confidential records, and adherence to facility policies and procedures.
