Key Responsibilities- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth, to maintain patients' oral health.
- Take and develop dental x-rays to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Conduct oral cancer screenings to identify potential issues early on.
- Provide personalized education and recommendations to patients on oral hygiene techniques and at-home care.
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed to ensure patient comfort.
- Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and medical history accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Maintain and update dental records to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist in a dental office setting.
- Experience in Perio and SRP is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
- Understanding of aseptic technique and infection control protocols is crucial.
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and maintain detailed medical records is necessary.
