About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Apprentice Baker to join our Bakery team at Giant Eagle Inc. As an Apprentice Baker, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest quality bakery products are produced and presented to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the production of high-quality bakery products, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
• Perform bench work according to established procedures and recipes.
• Prepare and bake products to specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and making suggestions to customers.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels, receiving and storing ingredients and supplies.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• 0-6 months of experience in a bakery or related industry.
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• No high school diploma required.
• Lifting requirement: up to 50 pounds.
• Age requirement: at least 18 years of age.
