About the Position

The Program Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Strategic Capacity Group (SCG) in fulfilling its capacity building mission worldwide. Reporting to the Finance and Operations Manager, this position is responsible for providing financial, operational, and administrative support to ensure the effective execution of procurement actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure procurement compliance with SCG financial policies and U.S. government regulations.
  • Negotiate, approve, execute, and document procurement actions.
  • Coordinate with staff in other departments to effectively execute program financial operations and manage program budgets.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree and at least three years of relevant experience in financial transactions, budgeting, procurement, audit support, vendor negotiations, and invoicing.
  • Knowledge and experience with U.S. government regulations for grantee organizations is highly desirable.
  • Progressive experience managing budgets, executing procurement actions, supporting audits, and interacting with vendors.
  • Working knowledge of 2CFR200 and other federal regulations applying to non-profit grant recipients is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience communicating with different stakeholders.
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills to support SCG's continued fast-paced growth.
