Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensure proper file identification.
- Exhibit proficiency in performing all mammographic procedures and operating related equipment.
- Welcome patients, gather medical history, and input information into the electronic health record system.
- Capture mammographic images in accordance with established guidelines.
- Maintain accurate logs and process necessary paperwork for biopsies.
- Implement sterile techniques to prevent contamination.
- Uphold quality standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Oversee all clinical aspects of the mammography suite, ensuring cleanliness and stocking of medical and radiologic supplies.
- Monitor patient vital signs throughout examinations.
- Provide coverage as needed during staff absences or increased patient schedules.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to new team members.
- Deliver a positive patient experience by educating patients about procedures and follow-up requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with radiologists, physicians, patients, and their families.
- Consistently produce diagnostic-quality images and perform quality assurance on imaging equipment.
Qualifications:
- Current CPR certification.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification (M).
- Valid state license.
Work Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM.
Compensation:
Competitive weekly package based on experience, expertise, and education.
