Civil Litigation Attorney Overview

As a seasoned Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for handling cases from inception to trial, working closely with an experienced team to ensure effective case management.

About Our Client

Our client is a leading law firm in the Macon area, specializing in civil litigation in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee litigation files from inception to trial, ensuring timely and effective case resolution.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for each case to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, adjusters, and fellow legal professionals through regular communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure open and continuous communication with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Audit cases for all expenses, including medical bills, case expenses, LOP providers, and subrogation liens.
  • Take and defend depositions, handle motion work, participate in mediations, and represent clients at trial.
  • Lead a litigation team, providing guidance and support to team members.
Requirements
  • Proven ability to handle litigation cases from initiation to conclusion.
  • Strong work ethic with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Previous experience in supervising and managing other team members.
  • Trial experience is a must.
  • Preferred 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Pre-Litigation experience is a plus.
Education Requirements
  • Graduate of an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Current member of the Georgia Bar in good standing.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Personal Injury litigation experience.
  • Admission to the Georgia Bar.
  • Trial experience is a prerequisite.

The targeted base salary for this role is between $100-140k+ (flexible depending on experience). Relocation support will be provided to candidates outside the area.
