Position Summary:
The selected candidate will undertake various responsibilities associated with the management and evaluation of reference standards for biologics, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing the system or program that organizes and monitors reference standards utilized in the production or research of biologics across various locations in the United States.
- Guarantee that all operations related to reference standards and in vitro potency assessments comply with the regulations established by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
- Conduct in vitro evaluations to determine the stability of reference standards for both pre- and post-licensure products.
- Prepare and assess small volumes of vaccines to support the creation or enhancement of new reference standards for biologics production or research.
- Provide support in the formulation, distribution, and evaluation of new reference standards to ensure they fulfill the required criteria for application in biologics manufacturing or research.
- Collaborate closely with professionals from various departments, including Research and Development (R&D), Production, Quality Control, and Regulatory Affairs, to assist in the qualification of new reference standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a biological science
- 1-3 years of relevant laboratory experience
- Experience with ELISA is mandatory
