Job Description:

The Production Control Specialist is a crucial role at Disability Solutions, responsible for ensuring efficient quality and production goals for our contract in Norfolk, VA. This position plays a vital part in the administration of the contract's quality control program, guaranteeing compliance with all requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile and record production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, material consumption, quality control, and other aspects of production.
  • Calculate quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, as well as worker and department production rates using computer calculators or spreadsheets.
  • Write work tickets to guide production workers.
  • Follow established guidelines and priorities.
  • Compile material inventory records and prepare requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.
  • Produce computer-generated reports, review information with onsite managers and supervisors, and transmit information to management executives.
  • Prepare written work schedules.
  • Compute wages from employee timecards and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll.
  • Maintain multiple data sets, report using charts, graphs, and peg boards based on statistics compiled by production management and personnel.
  • Communicate with management to address and resolve day-to-day issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Mathematics, or Statistics, or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in production, manufacturing, administration, and/or policy writing.

Skills Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Advanced knowledge of mathematical calculations and statistics.
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Excel and data entry/calculation software.
  • Ability to calculate and present complicated data.
  • Skilled in communication and computer skills.

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
