Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team at Swain Community Hospital. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or incidents on hospital premises
  • Provide security and safety services to patients, visitors, and staff
  • Make periodic tours to check for irregularities and inspect protection devices and fire control equipment
  • Preserve order and enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous related experience is strongly desired
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working night shifts, 10+ hours per shift, with rotating weekends. The position requires mobility, bending, occasional lifting (5-50lbs), stooping, standing, and sitting. The ability to remain calm and function effectively during stressful situations is essential.
