POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Outside Parts Sales Representative will be tasked with generating parts business from designated accounts and actively seeking new opportunities through personal interactions and phone communications.

Full-time, Monday to Friday

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university is preferred but not mandatory. A minimum of one to two years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

CERTIFICATIONS:

Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications are preferred. Medium/Heavy Truck Parts Specialist Certification is preferred. A valid Driver's License is required, and candidates must meet company insurability standards.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Engage with assigned customers
  • Identify and pursue new customer opportunities
  • Communicate parts orders effectively to the counterperson
  • Assess stock status based on customer requirements
  • Confirm delivery dates for non-stock items with customers prior to ordering
  • Obtain parts manager's approval for special pricing
  • Provide delivery and shipping instructions to the counterperson
  • Follow up on parts orders to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate service sales with service personnel
  • Submit completed call reports, time sheets, and expense reports
  • Update customer records with any changes
  • Participate in required training sessions
  • Act as a public relations representative for the dealership
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies to promote a safe work environment
