Job Title: Experienced General Counsel for Dynamic Growth

We are looking for a highly experienced Associate General Counsel to join our innovative corporate division at GenCo Legal. This role involves working closely with business teams to advise start-ups to mature businesses nationwide and internationally on various corporate matters.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate governance and a passion for all facets of legal issues impacting businesses. They should have demonstrated experience in areas such as corporate governance, contracts, compliance, HR, and liability oversight.

This position is based in Tampa, Florida, with a hybrid-in-office and remote working environment. A relocation package is available for the right candidate.

About the Role:

  • Client Account Manager: Lead day-to-day legal interface and strategic deliverables for firm clients, focusing on corporate governance and contract management.
  • Negotiation and Drafting: Provide legal counsel on agreements from consumers to vendors.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date on evolving regulations impacting clients and ensure compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate legal risks, offering strategic advice to the executive team.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to facilitate successful transactions and achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar membership with any U.S State Bar.
  • 3-5 years of legal experience, ideally with a focus on corporate governance and contract management.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate-related laws and regulations.
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Management & Mentoring experience, patience, and passion.
