Bellevue WA, United States Jacobs Full time

As a Storm Drainage Engineer at Jacobs, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of exciting and engaging infrastructure projects, including large-scale projects for local agencies and municipalities.

Our Water Team is seeking a Mid-Level Storm Drainage Engineer to work on storm drainage planning, design, and construction documents for water, transportation, and site development projects.

This role can be based in our Bellevue, WA or Portland, OR office.

In this position, you will work on stormwater design and hydraulic modeling for water-resources related projects, including water quality retrofits and habitat restoration, and transportation projects, including roadway, site development, highway, transit, and light rail extensions.

Typical activities may include performing hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, providing detailed calculations, and producing construction plans, drainage reports, specifications, and cost estimates.

Hydrology and hydraulic models used for typical projects include WWHM, MGSFlood, and others required to meet State and local agency requirements.

Under the mentorship of senior level staff, you will have the opportunity to exercise judgment and make recommendations in the development and creation of storm drainage plans for complex, multi-disciplined projects, potentially with multiple types of construction delivery methods, including design-build.

In this role, you will have ample opportunity for career growth as you lead engineering teams and support staff development.
