Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting and assisting patients, checking in patients for appointments, and maintaining office efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors, answer phones, and perform patient check-in, registration, and check-out.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, collect payments, and complete assigned daily reports.
  • Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying providers of patient arrival and reviewing service delivery.
  • Comfort patients by anticipating their anxieties and maintaining a pleasant and cooperative demeanor.
  • Ensure availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
  • Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent previous experience.
  • Sound communication skills and excellent customer service.
  • Previous experience as a check-in specialist is recommended, but not required.
  • Experience and knowledge of insurance guidelines and insurance entry.
  • Ability to handle high patient volumes and maintain composure in stressful situations.
