Job Description

The Catering Event Manager is responsible for day-to-day event planning, management, and catering sales to ensure that events run smoothly and meet customer satisfaction. This role is located at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all food service activities, including menu planning, ordering of food and supplies, and scheduling and supervision of staff.
  • Develop and implement catering sales strategies to increase revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with clients.
Requirements
  • Customer service, event planning, and event management skills.
  • Catering sales and food service experience.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in the catering industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage, health and safety, and regulatory standards and compliance.
