Position Overview

This is a Full-Time role requiring 40 hours per week, with a competitive base salary of $39.50 per hour. Employees benefit from 41 paid days off annually.

Department of Juvenile Justice Health Services

Established in collaboration with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, our mission is to provide exceptional health services to justice-involved youth across 25 facilities in Georgia. We focus on transforming young lives through evidence-based rehabilitative care and support.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:
  • Deliver comprehensive patient care by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Guide patient education and oversee nursing activities, ensuring a supportive environment for youth, facility staff, and families.
  • Maintain a customer-friendly atmosphere while providing exceptional service.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess:
  • A valid RN license in the State of Georgia.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
  • Compliance with the Georgia Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act.
  • Current Health Care Provider BCLS Certification from an accredited program.
  • The physical ability to lift 50 lbs and respond quickly in emergencies.
  • Security clearance from the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice.

Work Environment

Shifts may vary based on site availability. All candidates must successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including a Criminal History Record Release and, if applicable, a Physical Examination and Drug Screen.
