Taylorville Memorial Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients recovering from surgery.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized care to patients recovering from surgery, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing various medical procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure that patients' needs are met and that their concerns are addressed.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by demonstrating a commitment to excellence in patient care and teamwork.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
- Experience in a PACU or similar setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Experience with electronic medical records.
- Certification in a relevant specialty, such as Critical Care or Perioperative Nursing.
