Job Title: Fitter Helper

We are seeking a skilled Fitter Helper to join our team at HandledNow, LLC. As a Fitter Helper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely completion of projects by collaborating with team members and inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine the layout and assembly of ductwork
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment, including forklifts, pipe threading machines, press brake machines, soldering irons, plasma cutting tools, and other hand tools
  • Fit up and assemble all types of structural steel
  • Fitters may also be required to fit up and tack small components which can easily be handled by one person
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a fitter or in a similar role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
  • Proficient in using various tools and equipment related to fitting and fabrication work
  • Ability to accurately measure, cut, shape, and assemble steel components
  • Familiarity with different types of metals, including steel, used in construction and fabrication
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality control
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
