**Role Summary:** This position is responsible for delivering high-quality education to nursing students in a classroom and clinical setting. The successful candidate will be a skilled educator with expertise in psychiatric mental health nursing.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and revise course syllabi and handouts to ensure alignment with program outcomes.
  • Verify student enrollment and maintain accurate records related to student grades and progress.
  • Provide written or verbal feedback on student learning assignments and participate in yearly evaluations to maintain teaching effectiveness.
  • Participate in departmental committees and contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum.
  • Communicate effectively with clinical agencies and health care teams to ensure a smooth clinical learning experience.
  • Evaluate student clinical performance and provide feedback to students on their progress.
  • Participate in professional and community activities to stay current in the field and maintain a current CPR card.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

  • Clear and current license to practice as a RN in the state of California.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or Doctorate in Nursing.
  • Expertise in the area of Psychiatric Mental Health nursing.
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience as a staff nurse.
  • Previous teaching experience in an A.D.N. or BSN program is preferred.
  • Current knowledge and experience to teach within an area of specialized nursing.
  • Must maintain a current CPR card and complete a background check.
