Position Overview

Salary Range: $28-$35+ based on experience

McCallum Rock Drilling (MRD) is a reputable contractor specializing in rock drilling and blasting, operating since 1988. Our company is engaged in various sectors including commercial quarries, timberlands, and construction projects across the Western United States.

We are currently looking for a dedicated Class A CDL Heavy Equipment Transport Operator to serve within our operational territory. The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently load, transport, and unload a variety of heavy machinery to designated job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all MRD policies and safety protocols
  • Safely operate lowbed trailers on public roads and logging routes, representing MRD with professionalism
  • Report any equipment issues to the maintenance team
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the truck and trailer
  • Independently operate equipment for loading and unloading tasks
  • Secure loads using appropriate strapping and chaining techniques
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections

Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A CDL License with an active DOT Medical Card
  • Impeccable driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years)
  • Clear background check (no felony convictions)
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Access to reliable transportation to the home base

  • Self-driven and motivated
