Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in a contingent clinical care role at our Apopka location. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our staff, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Provide holistic, evidence-based care to patients, including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of health problems.
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection services, administer immunizations and injections, and provide patient education on vaccine counseling and prevention.
- Assess patients during intake, take vital signs, and perform diagnostic tests such as EKG and retinopathy screening.
- Perform point-of-care testing, including COVID testing, and order equipment as needed to ensure a smooth patient experience.
- Contribute to a positive patient experience by providing excellent connections and activities, and help meet our mission to help people on their path to better health.
- Minimum of one year of related work experience in a healthcare setting.
- Experience documenting within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Ability to take vital signs, perform phlebotomy blood draws, and perform point-of-care testing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) operation.
- Pass a FIT test and wear a respirator mask when required.
- Phlebotomy certificate or experience preferred; internal phlebotomy training available for those without experience.
- Previous experience in primary care, urgent care, or emergency room settings.
- A full, active, and unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia.
