Job Description

We're looking for a highly skilled Research Engineer to contribute to the development and deployment of our advanced language models. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for fine-tuning and aligning our models to meet the unique needs of our commercial partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative finetuning techniques to enhance model performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine datasets
  • Assess and evaluate model performance to ensure safety, usefulness, and reliability in corporate settings
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning methodologies and tools

Requirements:

  • Experience in finetuning and evaluating large language models
  • Strong grasp of modern machine learning methodologies, including transformer architectures and RLHF
  • Proficiency in PyTorch and experience with compute clusters using tools like Slurm
  • Knowledge of SQL and data tools like Snowflake, Dagster, and Airbyte is a plus
