Cubiq Recruitment is seeking a talented Staff Research Engineer to join a highly skilled team in a leading pharmaceutical research and development company. As a Staff Research Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing drug discovery efforts by researching and developing LLMs, and integrating generative AI into the product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research to advance the understanding and application of LLMs in drug discovery.
  • Develop and optimize LLM models to generate novel molecular structures based on existing compounds and known drug properties.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify product requirements and develop innovative solutions.
  • Implement and refine generative AI algorithms and techniques to enhance drug discovery processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in LLM research and generative AI and apply them to improve our products.
  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets to extract meaningful insights and drive decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute research projects.
  • Document research findings, methodologies, and experiments for internal and external dissemination.
  • Contribute to the intellectual property portfolio of the company through patent filings and publications.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance and support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field (Physics, Mathematics, etc.)
  • Strong expertise in developing, scaling, and implementing LLM models.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
  • Solid understanding of generative AI techniques, including GANs, VAEs, and reinforcement learning.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks and libraries, such as TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch.
  • Proven track record of conducting research and delivering innovative solutions in a research or industry setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and complex algorithms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present research findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong publication record and experience with patent filings is a plus.
