This position is primarily centered around performing fluid and filter checks, alongside essential maintenance tasks. An Automotive Service Technician will typically handle oil changes, assess transmission fluid and other fluid levels, inspect belts and filters, monitor air levels and gauges, and conduct tire rotations and brake evaluations. These duties will be executed under the guidance of the service advisor, Quick Lane manager, or Mobile manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring customer satisfaction is our top priority.
- Executing services and inspections as directed by the Advisor.
- Maintaining high efficiency and accuracy in vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Proactively repairing or replacing worn components to prevent vehicle breakdowns.
- Utilizing power tools, machine tools, and standard hand tools for various tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Solid understanding of automotive systems.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Strong analytical and communication abilities.
- Proficient reading, computer, and math skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and service procedures.
- Comfortable using electronic diagnostic tools.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Technical degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- ASE certifications are a plus but not essential.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Exhibit a positive and friendly demeanor.
