The Project Manager for the Architectural Department at 77 Consultants is responsible for steering the planning, execution, and successful delivery of architectural initiatives. This position requires a combination of leadership, organizational, and technical expertise to ensure that projects are completed on schedule, within the defined scope, and aligned with budgetary constraints, all while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Building Design Division Manager and team to produce permit documentation and engage with clients, consultants, and team members effectively.
  • Lead project teams by providing direction, support, and motivation, fostering a collaborative and positive atmosphere.
  • Identify project requirements, limitations, and potential challenges.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, making necessary adjustments to meet deadlines.
  • Proactively address project challenges and ensure effective resolution of issues.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, keeping them updated on project status and changes while nurturing client relationships.
  • Ensure comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, reports, and amendments.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM technologies for the development of permit drawings.
  • Prepare and revise architectural documents, including site layouts, floor plans, building elevations, and sections.
  • Coordinate building systems with consultants and stakeholders.
  • Incorporate sustainable design principles into architectural projects and surrounding environments.
  • Interpret and apply relevant building codes and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and present proposals for new projects, effectively communicating specifications and dimensions to clients.
  • Facilitate project coordination meetings with internal teams and external consultants.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Monitor and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Engage in innovative and analytical thinking.
  • Advanced understanding of accessibility regulations, building codes, and construction methodologies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of architectural documentation and the interrelation between drawings and specifications.
  • Develop floor plans, wall sections, and details with minimal oversight.
  • Exceptional proofreading, time management, and design visualization abilities.
  • Coordinate drawings and specifications while effectively communicating design concepts.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with SketchUp and Lumion is a plus.
  • Ability to create clear, professionally written reports.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Expertise in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Pursuit of architectural licensing is mandatory.
