  • Foster Open Communication: Participate in safety meetings and programs, actively addressing safety concerns.
  • Ensure Safe Lifts: Verify that all lifts are within equipment load limits and properly rigged to prevent accidents or damage.
  • Conduct Pre-Use Inspections: Verify the readiness and safety of lifting gear before use.
  • Operate Crane Equipment Efficiently: Lift materials and equipment as required for project needs.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel nationwide for two-week intervals as needed.
  • Log and Record Operations: Maintain accurate logs and records of operation activities.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Proven Crane Operation Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in safe and efficient crane operation.
  • Strong Commitment to Safety: Prioritizing personal and team safety in all activities.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Verbal and non-verbal communication to effectively coordinate with riggers and other team members.
  • Preventative Maintenance Knowledge: Understanding of practices for crane equipment maintenance.
  • Adherence to Company Policies: Consistently adhering to company policies, safety guidelines, and procedures.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Mobile Crane Operator Apprenticeship: Completion required.
  • Certification: Certification by the North American Crane Bureau Group or the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators is preferred.
  • Valid Class A CDL: Required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting Ability: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
  • Depth Perception and Reaction Time: Excellent depth perception and reaction time.
  • Visual Acuity: Visual acuity to follow hand signals, maintain logs, and inspect and maintain machinery.
  • Weather Conditions: May work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
