About the Role

Driscoll's is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Accountant to join our US Controllership team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for combining costing expertise and business acumen to properly account for some of Driscoll's most mission-critical financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Responsible for updating the costing on inventory items on a weekly basis, monitoring inventory quantities, activities, and adjustments in multiple locations.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide weekly validation invoice reports to accounts payable for payment approval, present monthly actual versus budget analytics to help management, and prepare and enter multiple Journal Entries for the month-end close.
  • Cost Analysis: Run inventory reports, providing full analysis of data by item, location, and cost, and complete inventory revaluation analysis for fruit and packaging.
  • Process Improvement: Create and update standard operating procedures (SOP's), collaborate with other departments, and work with internal IT department and business project managers on new developments.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of accounting work experience, with strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience with Accounting ERP system.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Inventory and Costing Analysis: 5+ years of accounting experience with inventory and costing analysis.
  • Leadership Competencies: Strong balance sheet experience and T accounts flow, experience with GL account reconciliations, and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and meet multiple deadlines.
