Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Utilize the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care to patients admitted to our nursing unit.
- Interdisciplinary Planning: Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care, including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.
- Leadership: Demonstrate leadership skills, including coaching, evaluating, developing, and inspiring staff, setting expectations, recognizing achievements, and effectively managing conflict.
- Problem-Solving: Identify problems and involve others in seeking solutions, conduct appropriate analysis, search for best solutions, and implement effective responses to correct problems.
- Communication: Connect with peers, subordinate employees, and all customers, actively listen, clearly and effectively share information, and demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
- Education and Training: Hold current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state where the hospital resides and current BLS certification is required.
- Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Verbal ability to effectively express ideas and views for communication with patients, visitors, and staff members, read and write English language including medical terminology and abbreviations, clerical ability to document completely and accurately in medical records, cognitive ability to implement the nursing process, organizational ability to complete nursing tasks in a timely and efficient manner, and ability to motivate staff in performance of patient care.
