Pelican Park Dental Care is a reputable dental practice seeking an experienced Dental Hygienist to join their team. This role offers a competitive salary and opportunities for growth and development.

Job Summary

The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing routine cleanings, and educating patients on oral health maintenance. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient exams and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Perform routine cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth.
  • Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for preventative care.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • A current dental hygienist license in LA.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required).
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation.
  • CPR Certification.
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Clinical experience.
  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health.
Compensation and Benefits

Estimated salary: $65,000 - 85,000 per year, depending on experience.
