Structural Testing Specialist
This position focuses on the evaluation of materials, components, and systems that govern vehicle operations and functionalities. Testing methodologies encompass simulations, bench evaluations, and complete or partial machine assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design engineers and structural analysts to strategize structural testing for ongoing improvements and new product initiatives.
- Engage with component engineers to collect testing requirements, ensuring that tests validate design specifications.
- Lead the planning, documentation, and execution of testing campaigns.
- Design test setups and fixtures, including their mechanical, fluid, and electrical components.
- Conduct all necessary design, analysis, and project management to carry out tests with minimal assistance.
- Establish and operate data acquisition systems to measure and record testing parameters (strain gauges, pressure sensors, accelerometers, etc.).
- Analyze results and compile comprehensive test reports to document findings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in structural testing or analysis.
- Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through professional experience or personal projects.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and fulfill commitments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
- A valid Driver's License is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with structural validation tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with metal fabrication and materials.
- Experience with construction and/or agricultural machinery.
- Knowledge of fatigue analysis software such as nCode.
- Prior experience with Data Acquisition Systems, preferably Dewesoft.
- Experience in 3-D Modeling Software, SolidWorks preferred.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Compensation Range: $60,000-$96,000 – Based on experience.
