About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares and sterilizes surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet hospital standards.
  • Assists surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and providing necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Participates in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, ensuring patients are prepared for surgery and recovering safely.
  • Collaborates with the surgical team to anticipate and address any potential complications or issues during procedures.
  • Maintains accurate records and reports, including patient information, surgical procedures, and inventory management.
  • Stays up-to-date with the latest surgical techniques, technologies, and best practices, participating in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Surgical Assistant (CSA) from a recognized accrediting agency.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist or in a related healthcare role.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
