We are seeking a Systems Programmer or Engineer with expertise in the configuration, management, and upkeep of our IBMi series systems. The ideal candidate will possess experience in live migration to AWS and a solid understanding of both IBMi and AWS environments.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the management and maintenance of our IBMi series systems.
- Administer and maintain DB2 for IBMi.
- Configure and set up networking with AWS services.
- Proven experience in managing IBMi series systems.
- Familiarity with DB2 for IBMi.
- Experience in IBM i data replication.
- Knowledge of networking configuration and integration of IBMi systems with AWS services.
- Experience with MIMIX SHARE is a plus.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Familiarity with mainframe databases, middleware, and communication protocols.
- Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize mainframe applications and systems on AWS.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment on AWS.
- Experience in conducting architecture reviews and providing recommendations for mainframe modernization on AWS.
- Understanding of governance, compliance, and security best practices in AWS environments.
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and foster innovation in the mainframe modernization domain on AWS.
