Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Underwriting Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive underwriting strategy for E&S lines to align with the company's overall business objectives.
- Establish Long-Term Goals and Objectives: Set and achieve long-term goals and objectives to ensure growth and profitability.
- Oversee Risk Evaluation and Selection: Evaluate, select, and price risks to ensure sound underwriting decisions.
- Monitor Underwriting Performance: Analyze and improve underwriting performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and Maintain Underwriting Policies: Create, review, and update underwriting policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure consistency, compliance, and quality.

- Develop New E&S Products and Services: Create new E&S products and services to meet market demands and expand the company's portfolio.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other departments, including claims, marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure cohesive and efficient business processes.
- Communicate Underwriting Policies and Decisions: Effectively communicate underwriting policies and decisions to internal and external stakeholders.
- Extensive Underwriting Experience: 10+ years of experience in underwriting, with a significant portion in E&S lines.
- E&S Underwriting Leadership Experience: 7+ years of E&S underwriting leadership experience.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Leadership and Management Experience: Proven track record of leadership and management experience.
- Analytical and Decision-Making Skills: Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of insurance regulations, industry standards, and market trends.
- Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving: Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Priority Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Leadership and Team-Building: Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Financial Acumen: Financial acumen and understanding of profitability drivers in the insurance industry.
- Salary and Bonus: $400,000 - $550,000 plus lucrative bonus (expected bonus based on company performance - $400,000 - $500,000+).
