KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following responsibilities are essential to the role and may not encompass all tasks assigned.

  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance business growth; conduct analyses in designated areas and compile monthly financial results for management review. Engage with various departments on intricate business matters that influence financial forecasts.
  • Encourage and secure optimal capital distribution for both internal and external stakeholders; create and uphold budgets and financial projections. Provide guidance and support for capital project funding requests.
  • Articulate and promote opportunities to deliver maximum value for stakeholders; work alongside management in strategizing, assessing, and reporting on the performance of designated areas while identifying avenues to enhance profitability through pricing strategies or cost efficiency.
  • Oversee the monthly closing process for designated areas and business segments, which entails account reconciliation and evaluation of the monthly financial reporting package in alignment with Corporate Accounting Policies and Procedures (CAPP) Manual.
  • Supervise and mentor the Associate Financial Analyst.
  • Assist in the oversight and administration of business systems and procedures. Lead initiatives to validate the efficacy of new processes and update Sarbanes-Oxley documentation for modifications affecting internal controls.
  • Develop user-friendly systems, processes, and metrics; execute and oversee shared services tasks in accordance with established work instructions. Monitor and assess key operational metrics; lead root cause analysis and formulate action plans as necessary.
  • Promote the Oshkosh People First competencies to engage, develop, and connect team members effectively.
  • Identify and support ongoing improvement initiatives while utilizing Continuous Improvement Management System (CIMS) tools and concepts; conduct advanced analyses in designated business areas and devise innovative solutions that conserve time and resources.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or treasury.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least two (2) years of experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of U.S. and international accounting standards.
